- Check for any spark in no-start condition.
- Test standard, electronic or DIS kV.
- Assists in determining coil voltages.
- Designed to prevent high energy sparks arching directly to any ground.
- Attach clip to metal (ground) where tester is away from flammable liquids, fumes and will not be subject to vibrations.
- Select a spark plug wire long enough to reach tester, and uncap it at the spark plug then cap it onto the tester.
- Set test gap to 10mm, normal spark.
- Start engine.
- (S/E) standard ignition minimum spark gap indicated by "S"
- Electronic ignition minimum gap (10mm) indicated with "E"
- When gauging voltage, turn tester screw counter clockwise to increase gap.
- 2kV Marking: (2/0) 3kV marking: (3/0) 4kV marking (4/0).
